About Herman
Herman Voordeckers, the proud founder of Divine Boxes, has dedicated his life to the pursuit of craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Since 2004, he has been creating exquisite boxes designed to safeguard heirlooms, jewelry, watches and other precious belongings, each piece crafted with unwavering precision and care.
What began as a deep fascination for fine woodworking has evolved into a lifelong journey of mastery. Inspired by his father’s work ethic, Herman started his career as an electrician before following his true passion for wood. He refined his skills through extensive training as a joiner carpenter, cabinetmaker and restorer of antiques. Always striving for perfection, he continued to expand his expertise with additional studies in upholstery, veneer and marquetry restoration, and goldsmithing and jewelry design.
These disciplines blend seamlessly in his creations. Every Divine Box is a harmony of materials, form and function, brought to life through countless hours of craftsmanship. To perfect his art, Herman also studied under world-renowned box makers such as Andrew Crawford and Peter Lloyd, deepening his knowledge of the most refined techniques in the field.
For Herman, the path to the perfect box is never complete. It is a continuous quest for beauty, innovation and perfection. Through Divine Boxes, he embodies the essence of Belgian craftsmanship: exclusive, authentic and timeless. Each creation is not merely a box, but a true piece of art, made to be cherished for generations.
